WALKER (Albrough), Emily E., age 98, of Miamisburg, OH passed away September 21, 2017 at Kingston of Miamisburg. She was born on November 14, 1918 in Superior Township, MI to the late George and Helen Albrough. In addition to her parents, Emily was preceded in death by her husbands, Vincent McNicholl and Willard Walker, brothers, Leonard and Francis, a sister, Olive Soorus and grandson, Daniel McNicholl. She is survived by sons, Brian (Betty) Mc Nicholl, Roderick McNicholl and Hugh (Kathy) McNicholl all of Miamisburg and Vincent McNicholl of Presque Isle, MI; ; grandchildren, Erin, Megan...

WALKER (Albrough), Emily E., age 98, of Miamisburg, OH passed away September 21, 2017 at Kingston of Miamisburg. She was born on November 14, 1918 in Superior Township, MI to the late George and Helen Albrough. In addition to her parents, Emily was preceded in death by her husbands, Vincent McNicholl and Willard Walker, brothers, Leonard and Francis, a sister, Olive Soorus and grandson, Daniel McNicholl. She is survived by sons, Brian (Betty) Mc Nicholl, Roderick McNicholl and Hugh (Kathy) McNicholl all of Miamisburg and Vincent McNicholl of Presque Isle, MI; ; grandchildren, Erin, Megan and Brian and a sister, Dorothy Stafford of Traverse City, MI. Emily grew up on a farm in Brimley, MI and graduated from Brimley High School and worked in the Brimley Post Office. She was employed at various positions in Sault Ste. Marie, MI including Pittsburgh Steamship Lines and Cowan department store before enlisting in the Navy where she saw duty at the Naval Fleet Post Office in New York City during WWII. While stationed there she met and married her future husband, Vincent. Following her honorable service, Emily was employed by the Sault Sheltered Workshop. Emily was a proud wife, mother and grandmother to her family. She enjoyed the great outdoors and explored it during the family's many picnic, camping and Scouting excursions. Later in life she continued to be active, walking, knitting, playing games and solving puzzles as well as participating in community events and through her membership with the VFW Auxiliary of Brimley. She was also quite social and enjoyed the company of numerous friends and family members. The family will host a memorial gathering from 12:00 - 1:00 pm Monday October 16, 2017 at Oaklawn Chapel Gardens - CHAPEL in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. A memorial celebration will follow at 1:00pm also at the chapel and conclude with ground inurnment with military honors.
