Virginia J. Kinderdine, 99, of Miamisburg, passed away Monday, November 28, 2016 at Hospice of Dayton. Virginia was born June 19. 1917 in Jackson, Michigan and was a 1935 graduate of Miamisburg High School. While in high school, she became Miamisburg's first female drum major. She worked for many years at the Miamisburg Branch of the Dayton and Montgomery County Library as the children's librarian. Virginia J. Kinderdine, 99, of Miamisburg, passed away Monday, November 28, 2016 at Hospice of Dayton. Virginia was born June 19. 1917 in Jackson, Michigan and was a 1935 graduate of Miamisburg High School. While in high school, she became Miamisburg's first female drum major. She worked for many years at the Miamisburg Branch of the Dayton and Montgomery County Library as the children's librarian. Virginia was very involved in the community and spent many years recording the mayor's marriage services. She was a member of the Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority, the Historical Society, the W.A. Reiter Chapter #439 O.E.S., and was a lifelong member of St. Jacob Lutheran Church. Virginia was the proud presenter of the Partlow Kinderdine Football Trophy, each year at the football games including this 2016 football season. Most of all, her passion was her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her children, Jack (Susan) Kinderdine of Washington Township and James (JoAnn) Kinderdine of Waynesville; grandchildren, Douglas Kinderdine, Gina (John) Elson, James (Christine)Kinderdine, David Kinderdine, Scott (Tonya) Kinderdine, and Todd (Tracy) Kinderdine; 17 great grandchildren; niece, Dianne (Chuck) Bailey; and nephew, Dan (Yvonne) Shank. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel L. Shank and Pauline (Dan) Warrick; her husband, James Kinderdine; 2 great grandchildren; as well as her brother, Dan Shank. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-7 PM on Friday, December 2, 2016 in the GEBHART-SCHMIDT-PARRAMORE Funeral Home, Miamisburg. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday at St. Jacob Lutheran Church, Miamisburg, with Rev. Michael G. Hout officiating. Burial will follow at Hillgrove Cemetery, Miamisburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jacob Lutheran Church, 213 East Central Ave, Miamisburg, OH 45342 or to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton, OH 45420.
